AFTERCARE
Approximately 30 minutes after your procedure, wet one of the single use cotton pads provided in your kit (you can also use a clean paper towel or napkin) with lukewarm bottled water. Then, gently pat your brows with the provided pad and fan dry.
Wait an additional 30 minutes then repeat once. This will help prevent potential scabbing from lymph build up.
1. Begin by washing your hands. Then, use lukewarm bottled water and gently wash brows with soap making sure to follow the direction of your hair growth. Avoid excessive scrubbing!
2. Gently dry your brows with a paper towel. Do not use a body towel as they carry bacteria.
3. Apply a sheer layer of the dram to your brows—a rice grain amount of the balm should be sufficient for both. Your brows should feel hydrated while also being able to breathe. This helps promote the healing process.
4. Repeat steps 1-2 daily, AM & PM. You may stop using the wash and balm after about 7-10 days post procedure.
WHAT NOT TO DO:
-no direct sun for 2 weeks
-no sweating for the first week
-no retinols around the brow area for 4 weeks
-no makeup on brows for 2 weeks (work around brows carefully with face makeup)
-no pool/ocean for 2 weeks
$5.00.
The aftercare supplies provided in the kit are enough to last through the initial session and touch-up. Should you run out of aftercare products before the estimated healing window is complete, a follow-up kit is available for an additional
$5.00.
HEALING
Days 1–3: Brows may appear darker, warmer, and more defined than expected. Mild redness, tenderness, or swelling is normal and should fade quickly.
Days 4–7: Light flaking or peeling may begin. Brows can look patchy as the skin heals—do not pick, scratch, or remove any flakes.
Days 7–14: Brows may appear very light or as though some strokes have disappeared. This is known as the “ghosting phase” and is a normal part of healing.
Weeks 3–4: The color will gradually return as the skin continues to heal. Hair strokes will begin to look softer and more natural.
Weeks 6–8: Brows are considered fully healed. The final color and retention can now be accurately evaluated.
Some fading is expected: Permanent makeup typically heals 30–50% lighter than it appears immediately after the appointment.
Healing is not always even:
One brow—or certain areas—may heal faster or retain more pigment than others.
Skin type and lifestyle matter:
Retention varies based on skin type, age, skincare products, sun exposure, medications, and how closely aftercare is followed.
A touch-up may be needed:
Your perfecting appointment allows us to reinforce light areas and make any necessary adjustments once the skin has fully healed.
